Saudi Arabia: Important directive to private companies regarding employees

RIYADH: An important directive regarding employees has been issued to private companies to verify employment contracts through a ‘robust’ platform.

According to the details, the Saudi Ministry of Manpower and Social Welfare has urged that all private companies and institutions verify the contracts of employees with a ‘strong’ platform.

The Ministry says that online registration will protect the rights of both the employer and the employee, and will be beneficial in case of disputes between the parties.

According to the Uqal website, after confirming the employment contract on the ‘Qavi’ platform, one of the parties can also file an amendment to the employment contract with the consent of the other.

The Ministry of Manpower and Social Welfare expressed happiness over the diligence shown by private companies and institutions in registering employment contracts, so far up to 80 percent of contracts have been validated on this app.
