Dr. Amjad Maghribi, a spokesman for the Makkah Mukarramah Reform Program, said that the residency of more than 8,000 members of the Burmese community living in Qawz al-Nakasa has been made legal. Were living.

In an interview with a local channel program, Amjad Maghribi said that the Saudi authorities have solved the problems of illegal immigrants in Burma on humanitarian grounds.

He further said that the buildings of Al-Nakasa Mohalla have been evacuated and demolished by the occupants and the remaining buildings will be demolished after Eid.

Amjad Maghribi said that before the move, the problems of the Burmese living there were thoroughly examined. Relevant committees of field teams of the Ministry of Manpower and other agencies prepared lists of Saudi families living in Al-Nakasa neighborhood. Flats were provided to the citizens involved in the social welfare program and humanitarian accommodation was also arranged for others.

It should be noted that even before this, thousands of Burmese were issued free accommodation and provided with jobs and accommodation.

The Governor of Makkah, Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, under his supervision implemented a pro-humanitarian scheme in this regard, which was approved by the top leadership.
