For the first time in the history of Saudi Arabia, 20 highly educated women have been appointed to administrative positions in the General Presidency of the Holy Mosque.
According to a foreign news agency, 20 women have been appointed to senior positions in the General Presidency of the Holy Shrines, an organization headed by Sheikh-ur-Rehman Al-Sudais for the administrative affairs of the Kaaba and the Prophet’s Mosque.
The head of the General Presidency of Haramain Sharifeen said that women with doctoral and master’s degrees have been appointed to key positions, including Deputy Director of the Presidency, Under-Secretaries and Deputy Under-Secretaries.
According to the new law, women perform Hajj without Muharram
Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais said that women Appointments have been made under Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman’s Vision 2030 for empowerment. The deployment of female security personnel to the Kaaba has also yielded encouraging results.
Earlier this year, a group of women performed Hajj without Muharram after the announcement of Prince Muhammad bin Salman. Previously, women were not allowed to perform Hajj without Muharram.
It should be noted that the Crown has given women many powers at home, including driving, working, and allowing travel abroad without a guardian.
It should be remembered that due to the Karuna epidemic this year, only 60,000 pilgrims were allowed to perform Hajj. This year, 40% of the pilgrims were women.
