Samsung has halted the global rollout of One UI 7, its latest software update based on Android 15. The decision comes after the update was released for Galaxy S24, Galaxy Z Fold6, and Galaxy Z Flip6 devices just a few days ago. According to tipsters Ice Universe and Tarun Vats, a critical bug was discovered in the software.
Critical Bug Discovered
The bug reportedly affects Galaxy S24 devices, particularly those with the Exynos 2400 chip. Users have experienced issues with unlocking their devices. The problem seems to have spread to devices with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip in the US and other countries.
Samsung hasn’t officially confirmed the bug or its cause. However, reports from Korean forums suggest that the company is working to resolve the issue. The update was released globally on April 7, 2025, and in the US on April 10, 2025.
Impact on Users
The delay has left users eager to experience One UI 7’s new features and performance improvements in limbo. They will have to wait until Samsung resolves the software update issue.
Some users have expressed concern, given the issues with the Galaxy S24. Owners of other Samsung models, like the Galaxy S23, are also worried.
