A shocking scandal is unfolding in South India’s music scene. Pravaasi Aaraadhya, a contestant on the popular reality show “Padutha Theeyaga,” has accused celebrated music industry figures of harassment, sparking a heated debate. In a video statement, she alleged that Oscar-winning composer M.M. Keeravani, lyricist Chandra Bose, and singer Sunitha mistreated her during the show. Aaraadhya claimed the judges made derogatory remarks and consistently favored certain contestants. She described feeling humiliated and pressured by the production team to wear revealing outfits on set.
Allegations Against Keeravani
Aaraadhya accused Keeravani of biased grading. She said he only gave her good scores when she sang his songs. Aaraadhya recalled telling Keeravani that she sang at weddings, to which he responded that he disliked, even hated, singers who performed at such events.
Accusations Extend to Other Judges
Aaraadhya also targeted Chandra Bose, claiming he unfairly favored contestants who sang his songs. She said that those who performed his compositions were given preference, while others were overlooked. Aaraadhya accused Sunitha of making disparaging comments that left her feeling mentally distressed.
