It seems that soon Samsung will be able to fulfill the “prophecy” of launching a more affordable version of its Galaxy S8 Tab tablet.
The variant has just been spotted on the Geekbench platform which, in turn, revealed that the model will already bring the latest Android 13 operating system.
Imminent launch of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 FE
Since the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 in February 2022, rumors point to the availability of a more affordable FE variant. And it seems that now Samsung will fulfill this “prophecy”.
The GalaxyClub.nl website has just spotted this device on the Geekbench platform with the model number SM-X506B. The listing reveals that the variant will feature a MediaTek processor, but more importantly, it reveals that the new tablet already runs Google’s latest operating system: Android 13.
This will undoubtedly be one of its strongest selling points, along with the most affordable cost. But no information about the price has been revealed yet. It is also worth noting that on the Geekbench platform, the Galaxy Tab S8 FE scored 773 points in single-core tests and 2318 points in multi-core tests.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Specifications
Since the FE version will inherit some of the specifications of the Galaxy Tab S8, let us now recall the arguments presented by the tablet. We know the processor will be different, but the Tab S8 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip which is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.
The LCD screen is 11 inches and offers a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. On the optical side, the model has a dual rear camera setup with a 13-megapixel primary sensor and an ultra-wide sensor. of six megapixels of resolution, also offering the ability to record 4K videos at 60 frames per second.
For the rest, it is equipped with an 8,000 mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging that brings the battery to 100% in 80 minutes. In Portugal, the Galaxy Tab S8 is on sale at a cost starting at 739.90 euros.
