The latest benchmark tests from Geekbench have shed some light on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE and Tab S10 FE+ tablets. According to the reports, these devices will be powered by the Samsung Exynos 1580 (S5E8855) chip, which boasts a maximum speed of 2.9 GHz. This represents a significant upgrade from the Exynos 1380 chip used in the previous Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+ models, which had a maximum speed of 2.4 GHz.
This new chip is the same one recently featured in the mid-range Galaxy A56 smartphone, and its impressive specs are expected to bring a substantial boost to the overall performance of the new tablets. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE, in particular, has been tested under the model number Samsung SM-X520, and it’s believed to be the base version with 8 GB of RAM. This is an upgrade from the base model of the Tab S9 FE, which came with 6 GB of RAM. Both the Tab S10 FE and its predecessor offer a maximum of 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
The benchmark tests have yielded some impressive results, with the Tab S10 FE scoring 1,349 points in single-core tests, representing a 32% increase in performance compared to its predecessor, which scored around 1,000 points. In multi-core tests, the device achieved 3,882 points, again showing a 32% improvement over the previous model’s score of approximately 2,800-2,900 points.
The Exynos 1580 chip in the Tab S10 FE also features the Xclipse 540 GPU, which is based on AMD’s RDNA 3 architecture. This is a notable upgrade from the Exynos 1380’s Mali-G68 MP5 GPU, which uses ARM’s architecture. The new GPU is expected to provide a significant boost to the device’s graphics processing capabilities.
Additionally, reports suggest that the Tab S10 FE and Tab S10 FE+ will feature 12.4-inch and 13.1-inch screens, respectively. It’s also rumored that the ultrawide camera may be removed, and the devices could be launched in October 2025, around the same time as the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+ were released in October 2024.
These developments are certainly exciting for fans of Samsung’s tablet series, and the upcoming devices are likely to generate significant interest in the tech community. With their improved performance, enhanced graphics capabilities, and potential design changes, the Galaxy Tab S10 FE and Tab S10 FE+ are shaping up to be promising additions to the Samsung lineup.
