Investigation Reveals Shocking Details About the Accused
Mumbai Police has made significant progress in the case of the attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan. The primary suspect, who has been apprehended and identified as Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad, is being interrogated by the police. According to the police, the accused may be a Bangladeshi citizen, and further investigation is being conducted to confirm this.
The accused, who had been misleading the police by providing multiple aliases, had finally revealed his true identity. It has been discovered that he had arrived in Mumbai merely 5-6 months ago and was employed by a housekeeping company. Police suspect that this was his first attempt to break into Saif’s residence.
The Accused’s Mysterious Past
During the initial stages of the investigation, the accused provided the police with four different names: Bijoy Das, Vijay Das, Mohammad Ilyas, and BJ. The police were left bewildered by the constant change in names, but eventually, the truth came to light. The accused’s real name, Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad, has been confirmed.
Other Suspects in Custody
Earlier, a suspect related to the attack was detained by the police from Durg in Chhattisgarh. Two additional suspects from Mumbai are also being questioned by the authorities. The police are carefully evaluating the statements provided by these suspects to determine their involvement in the incident.
The Aftermath of the Attack
Kareena Kapoor, Saif’s wife, was deeply shaken by the attack and has expressed her fear and concern. In a statement to the police, Kareena revealed that Saif had managed to move their children and other women to safety on the 12th floor during the scuffle. The actress praised Saif for his bravery, saying that he had intervened to save the family and had sustained injuries in the process.
The Fateful Night of the Attack
At around 2 am on January 16, an unknown person entered Saif’s residence and began arguing with the maid. When Saif intervened, the individual attacked him with a knife. The actor suffered severe injuries, including six stab wounds, but managed to drive himself to Lilavati Hospital in an auto with his son Taimur. A piece of the knife was lodged near his spine and was later removed through surgery. Fortunately, Saif has been declared out of danger, and his fans are eagerly awaiting his speedy recovery.
