Sachin Tendulkar Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award by BCCI recently

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has given the Lifetime Achievement Award to former Team India batsman Sachin Tendulkar. Additionally, Team India’s young batsman Sarfaraz Khan and former veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin have also received notable awards. Ashwin was given a special award by the BCCI, while Sarfaraz Khan was recognized for his brilliant debut.

Sachin Tendulkar was awarded the ‘Colonel CK Naidu Lifetime Achievement Award’ by the BCCI. Throughout his career, Tendulkar played 200 Tests, 463 ODIs, and 1 T20 International match for India. He scored 15921 runs in Tests, 18426 runs in ODIs, and 10 runs in his only T20 International. As a bowler, he took 46 wickets in Tests and 154 wickets in ODIs.

Ravichandran Ashwin, a former Team India veteran spinner, received the ‘BCCI Special Award’. Ashwin announced his retirement from international cricket during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in the 2024-25 season. In his international career, Ashwin played 106 Tests, 116 ODIs, and 65 T20 Internationals.

Sarfaraz Khan, Team India’s star batsman, was awarded the ‘Best International Debut’ by the BCCI. He made his international debut in a Test against England in February 2024, scoring 62 and 68* runs in both innings. So far, Sarfaraz has played 6 Tests for Team India, scoring 371 runs at an average of 37.10, including 1 century and 3 half-centuries.
