Ryanair and Expedia Group Launch Partnership to Offer Low-Cost Flights to Millions of Travelers

Ryanair has teamed up with Expedia Group, making its low-cost flights available on one of the world’s biggest travel tech platforms. This partnership is part of Ryanair’s “Approved OTA” program, launched in July 2024. It gives Expedia customers access to Ryanair’s extensive network of over 230 European destinations.

The collaboration makes it easier and safer for users to book flights. As an approved OTA, Expedia customers who book Ryanair flights will have their contact and payment info automatically registered on myRyanair. This means they’ll get direct updates on their flight and skip the verification process required for non-approved agencies.

Simplifying the Booking Process

Dara Brady, Ryanair’s Chief Marketing Officer, says, “We’re excited to work with Expedia Group and bring their customers on board our leading low-cost flights network.”
Greg Schulze, Expedia Group’s Chief Commercial Officer, notes that this partnership is a big deal for their customers. “Our partnership with Ryanair offers our US and European customers more choices and value, making every trip unforgettable,” he says.

Benefits for Both Parties

This integration strengthens Ryanair’s direct and controlled distribution strategy. Passengers get a more transparent and efficient service. Expedia expands its offerings with one of Europe’s most competitive flight networks. Key benefits include:

  • More travel options for Expedia customers
  • Streamlined booking process
  • Direct access to flight info and updates

Ryanair’s partnership with Expedia Group is set to make a significant impact on the travel industry.
