Russia’s military builds up on Ukraine’s border, NATO accuses

Brussels: Allied forces NATO says Russian troops have not withdrawn from the border but have been increased. According to reports, in the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, NATO rejected the claim of withdrawal of Russian forces and accused Russia of increasing its troops.

Both NATO and the United States have said they did not see a partial or explicit withdrawal of Russian troops, but the Kremlin has shown signs of resuming diplomacy.

Ukraine’s Defense Minister says security situation in the country is stable, on the other hand Russia has seen a 4% drop in world crude oil prices following signs of easing of Ukraine tensions.

Earlier, according to a senior US official, 7,000 more Russian troops had arrived on the Ukrainian border in the past few days, and Russia could strike Ukraine at any time under false pretenses.

Russian military officials have said they are withdrawing some of the troops stationed near the Ukrainian border.

The announcement by Russian officials was seen as the first sign of a possible easing of tensions, but Western leaders say there is no evidence that Russian troops have withdrawn.

Russia has announced the end of ongoing military exercises in Crimea, the Russian Defense Ministry said, adding that units of the Southern Military District are moving towards a permanent deployment after completing strategic exercises.

Russia’s Defense Ministry says tanks, vehicles and artillery are leaving Crimea by train. Russian President Vladimir Putin and German Chancellor Olaf Schulz met in Moscow on Ukraine’s tensions.
