Russia reacts strongly to the supply of F-16s to Ukraine

Moscow says Western countries will face ‘big risks’ if they supply F-16s to Ukraine.

Russian media have reported that Moscow is warning Western countries that if they supply Ukrainian forces with F-16 fighter jets "”Great dangers” will have to be dealt with.

“We see that the Western countries are still on a high-stakes scenario, with huge risks for themselves,” Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grishko said.

US President Joe Biden told G7 leaders on Friday that Washington supports joint coalition training programs for Ukrainian pilots on F-16s.

On the other hand, after getting access to US-made F-16 jets, Ukrainian President Zelensky has arrived in Japan to attend the G7 Summit.

Zelenskiy’s arrival at the G7 summit comes a day after he won long-sought access to US fighter jets and trained Ukrainian pilots.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak meets Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the second day of the G7 Leaders Summit in Hiroshima Japan.
