Russia Plane crash: A Russian military cargo plane crashed on Friday, killing at least four crew members and injuring several others. The heavy cargo Il-76 cargo plane crashed in the south-western Ryazan region. The Russian Defense Ministry said there had been a problem with the plane’s engine, forcing the crew to make a ‘crash landing’. The regional administration said four of its crew were killed and five others were injured when the plane crashed into a field outside the city of Ryazan. Officials said that the injured have been admitted to the hospital in a serious condition. The four-engined Il-76 was designed in the 1970s and served as the main cargo aircraft for the Soviet and Russian air forces. It is widely used by many countries around the world.
