Crimea Beach Tourist Attack

A Ukrainian missile hits a beach full of tourists in Crimea

The United States has claimed responsibility for a Ukrainian bombing on a beach in Crimea, which resulted in at least four deaths, including two children.

The attack occurred on a beach in Sevastopol, Ukraine’s Crimean peninsula, where families were attempting to escape the heat. Russia reported that at least four people were killed, including two children, and over 150 were injured.

Moscow has accused the United States of “killing Russian children” and blames the Biden administration for authorizing Kyiv to use long-range missiles against Russian regions and Crimea. The State Department, however, has maintained that the US provides weapons to Ukraine to defend its sovereign territory against armed aggression, including Crimea.

Ukraine has been experiencing daily Russian bombings, which have targeted infrastructure, including its energy network. On Monday, a Russian missile struck a warehouse in Odessa, leaving three people injured.
