The Russian government has ordered an increase in the production rate of Kinzhal hypersonic missiles, as well as combat helicopters, the director of state defense services conglomerate Rostec, Sergei Chemezov, has said.
"At first we did not need such an amount, but now we are increasing it"has made it known in an interview with the Zvezda Plus television channel, collected by Interfax.
Chemezov has also confirmed an increase in ammunition orders by the Ministry of Defence, "in some cases in volumes fifty times higher than usual".
The head of Rostec also foresees that his companies can manufacture up to 300 combat helicopters by 2023, twice as many as last year, in particular Ka-52, Mi-28 or Mi-35 models.
