Alejandro Ruiz and Franco Stupaczuk beat Paquito Navarro and Martín di Nenno this Sunday in the final of the Sardinia Open to achieve his first title of the year on the Padel World Tour.
In his third end of the course Alejandro Ruiz and Franco Stupaczuk achieved their first trophy by winning 6-2 and 7-6 (4) in one hour and 40 minutes to Paquito Navarro and Martín di Nenno.
The Spanish-Argentine couple fell in the previous two finals, in Madrid and Alicante, which opened the season. Nine tournaments later they returned to a final match and sealed their first win.
Triay and Salazar take the women’s final
Gemma Triay and Alejandra Salazar achieved this Sunday their fourth title of the current season of the Padel World Tour by winning in the women’s final of the Sardinia Open against Ariana Sánchez and Paula Josemaría.
Triay and Salazar, that make up the number one couple in the ranking, they won with a comeback by 6-7 (5), 6-3 and 6-1 in their sixth final of the course and prevented the fifth title of Ari Sánchez and Paula Josemaría.
To reach the final, Triay and Salazar beat Aranzazu Osoro and Victoria Iglesias 6-2 and 6-2 in the semifinals., while Sánchez and Josemaría got rid of the sisters Mapi and Majo Sánchez Alayeto by 6-3 and 6-3.
