Rugby Championship: Pumas seek revenge with Australia

The Argentine rugby team, Los Pumas, will seek revenge on Australia, in the match corresponding to the second date of the Rugby Championship tournament, which will take place at the Bicentennial Stadium in San Juan.

The match will be played from 4:05 p.m. and will be the rematch of the one played last Saturday in Mendoza, in which the Wallabies defeated Los Pumas 41-26, at the start of the Championship.

Previously, the current world champion South Africa will receive from 12.05 (Buenos Aires time) New Zealand, at the Ellis Park stadium in Johannesburg, in the second clash between the two.

The Springboks won 26-10 last week, adding to the bad form of New Zealand, which is fifth in the World Rugby rankings for the first time, with five defeats in the last six games. Another defeat could be the end of the cycle for coach Ian Foster.

The Pumas will present four modifications in their initial formation: prop Thomas Gallo will enter for Nahuel Tetaz Chaparro among the forwards, Mendoza scrum-half Gonzalo Bertranou will return for Tomás Cubelli, Rosario wing Juan Imhoff will enter for Santiago Cordero, and Matías Moroni will replace Matías Orlando as a center.

In the first line will be Gallo and Francisco Gómez Kodela and the hooker and captain Julián Montoya as pillars, the second line is maintained with the presence of Matías Alemanno and Tomás Lavanni, and in the third line will be Juan Martín González, Marcos Kremer and the eighth Paul Matera.

The midfielder will be made up of Bertranou and Santiago Carreras, the wingers will be Imhoff and Emiliano Boffelli, Jerónimo De la Fuente and Moroni will be the centers and Juan Cruz Mallía will go at fullback.
