Royal Challengers Bangalore record their first WPL 2023 win, beat UP Warriors by 5 wickets

First RCB win: Finally, Royal Challengers Bangalore i.e. RCB has taken its first victory. RCB defeated UP Warriors by 5 wickets in their sixth Women’s Premier League match. In this tournament, RCB tasted their first victory after suffering consecutive defeats in the first five games.

In this match, RCB won the toss and invited UP to bat first and dominated UP from the start. The RCB bowlers sent 5 UP batsmen back to the pavilion for just 31 runs. After that UP somehow moved on in their innings but still the Bangalore bowlers bowled them all out with just 135 runs in 19.3 overs.

RCB win despite poor start

Sophie Devine, who started the innings from Bangalore, definitely scored 14 runs in the first over but also lost her wicket. After that, Smriti Mandhana was also dropped by Deepti Sharma in the next over without scoring any runs. After a while, Alice Perry and Heather Knight also left and returned to the pavilion. On the other hand, Alice Perry did the best RCB bowling. She took 3 wickets for just 16 runs in 4 overs.
