The pitching staff of the Tigres del Licey collectively led the Round Robin in ERA with 3.02 and that of the Estrellas Orientales was the worst with 4.25.

However, the Orientals qualified with a 10-6 mark while the Blues were discarded with 7-9. The theory that sustains that pitching is 75% of the game, must be reviewed…..In the 1990-91 Round Robin, the Leones del Esgido established the record for collective PCL by achieving 1.43 in 157 innings. Directed by Samuel Mejía they reached the first position of that event with a mark of 12-6. José Núñez in 16 innings did not allow earned runs, reliever Melquiades Rojas in 10.2 only accepted one and Sergio Valdez in 20.2 got a PCL of 1.43, to be the best on the team in that sense…..

The Águilas Cibaeñas committed 23 errors in the 16 games they played, one more than the total of the other three teams. However, they came from leading the Regular Series in fielding average with .976…. The Águilas shortstop, Ramón Torres, who committed just three blunders in 168 opportunities in the Regular Series, made four in seventy in the Round Robin and Eric Filia committed three macules in the few games that the initial defended, two very damaging that they cost races. In some way, this had a significant impact on the negative results obtained by the team from Santiago….Juan Francisco had five goals scored, reaching 81 for life to occupy fourth position in that line, displacing Félix José who scored 77. ….Per second Consecutive Round Robin Gustavo Núñez obtains the lead in stolen bases. He achieved six this year and in 2019-20 playing for the Chosen he achieved five….

Most Valuable Player was chosen Cuban first baseman Henry Urrutia of the Giants who led in batting average (.388) and Slugging (.653), losing the lead in OBP (.444) of Junior Lake who reached .472. The last batter to win those three leads in a Round Robin was Juan Carlos Pérez de Águilas in 2016-17 when he posted a .457/.500/.565 offensive line….
