Rohit Sharma reveals surprising truth at Naman Awards ceremony

The Board of Control for Cricket in India recently hosted the Naman Award ceremony, where several cricket players were recognized for their achievements. Sachin Tendulkar received the ‘CK Naidu Life Time Achievement Award’, while Jaspreet Bumrah was awarded the ‘Poly Umrigar Award’. The event was attended by Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma, as well as Smriti Mandhana, a player from the Women’s Cricket Team.

During the ceremony, Mandhana asked Rohit Sharma about his hobbies and what his fellow players tease him about the most. Rohit replied that it is not a hobby, but rather his habit of forgetting things that his teammates often joke about. He explained that his teammates claim he forgets his purse, passport, or mobile phone, although he clarified that this was not entirely true and only happened in the past. His response was met with laughter from the other players, including Sanju Samson, Hardik Pandya, and Shubman Gill.

The ceremony also honored Ravichandran Ashwin, a veteran all-rounder who recently retired from international cricket, with a special award from the BCCI. Smriti Mandhana was named the best international cricketer for the women’s team, while Jaspreet Bumrah was selected for the main team. Additionally, Sarfaraz Khan received an award for the best international debut.
