Dominican Robert Pigozzi qualified again for the United States Masters Open tournament, to be held at Callaway Gardens, Atlanta from May 25 to 27 of this year.

In the event that was held in Groveland, Florida, Robert had the obligation to win, since it was the test in which only the winner was given the opportunity to go to the most important water skiing event in the world, the Masters Open ( Open) from the United States.

For the native of Boca Chica, who thanked the Ministry of Sports, led by Francisco Camacho for continuing to support his career, it is the fifth time that he has qualified for the Slalom Open Masters in water skiing.

“I knew the result and I went for it, there was no other way,” Pigozzi, gold medalist at the Lima 2019 Pan American Games, declared after the competitions.

“Fortunately, in the first round I was able to achieve the result and this gave me the victory that was enshrined in the second round. I feel very happy, since in addition to a personal achievement, it is an achievement for the Dominican Republic and for all of Latin America,” said Pigozzi.

The 59th Masters tournament began in 1959, at Callaway Gardens in Atlanta, and is considered worldwide as an honor and recognition of the effort and dedication of the best 7 slalom skiers in the world.

Only 8 skiers from all over the world enter the Master of the United States.

Pigozzi first qualified for the event in 2018.
