Salomón Rondón is a free agent since he terminated his contract with Everton on January 1. Boca Juniors has also shown interest in taking over his services, but everything seems to indicate that the millionaire team is late on incorporating him.

Martín Demichelis, the current coach of the Argentine team, knows Rondón well because they were teammates at Málaga. His presence is key to closing the operation.
