Ripple (XRP) CEO: ‘We are considering buying other companies to grow’

Ripple (XRP) CEO: 'We overwegen andere bedrijven te kopen om te groeien'

Ripple (XRP) is a crypto project that focuses on the traditional financial world. Among other things, it wants to offer banks a way to offer international transfers to customers quickly and cheaply. Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse late in a recent conversation with the American CNBC know that Ripple is in good shape and even considering buying other companies.

Ripple sees growth in crypto and investigates acquisitions

The company is currently compartmentalized in a lawsuit with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). This lawsuit could just mean the end of Ripple, if it loses. However, the company is still doing well and has a “very strong balance sheet,”

Garlinghouse sees a lot of growth in crypto and he tries to capitalize on it by investing. Recently Ripple launched another carbon credit system, in which it invests about $100 million. To CNBC, the CEO says the following about this:

“I would say there’s a lot of growth in crypto, and we’re looking at a lot of different segments in crypto for growth. We will of course build some of that internally – the carbon credit initiative is something we started internally.”

But he doesn’t want to stop there: “We have invested in more than 30 or 40 companies in the crypto ecosystem, and we will also continue to look for opportunities to grow through external acquisitions,” said Ripple’s CEO.

Crypto Acquisitions Will Increase, Says XRP Company CEO

Garlinghouse expects Ripple to not be alone in acquiring other companies. According to him, the acquisitions in crypto and blockchain will accelerate in the future, something that we have not yet seen.

It is possible that Ripple will make an IPO. The company will not investigate this until after the important XRP lawsuit is over.
