Burgos BH continues to compete internationally in this month of June, facing the five days of competition proposed by the ZLM Tour, between Wednesday the 7th and Saturday the 11th. The race takes place in the south of the Netherlands, in the regions of Zeeland, North Brabant and Limburg, on courses suitable for wheelers and fast men. This will be Sebastián Mora’s first competition with Burgos BH, after his recent signing, which will allow him to reconcile track and road in preparation for the World Championships this summer.

The man from Castellón makes his debut in an ideal test for his characteristics, which has practically flat routes and should be resolved in a sprint. Next to him, youThe start will be Manuel Peñalver, Óscar Pelegrí, Jesús Ezquerra, Felipe Orts, Rodrigo Álvarez and the Dutchman Jetse Bol, that he will not miss the test of his homeland. The test recovers the initial prologue that it did not have in its 2022 edition and that could be decisive for the general classification.

It will be a circular route of just 6.6 kilometers with start and finish in Heinkenszand the one that establishes the first time differences. From there, four days will be faced with hardly any accumulated unevenness, but with long mileages and that always culminate with a small final circuit. The wind could play an important role if it makes an appearance and the fight for the bonuses promises to be interesting as well. On Thursday the race will take place between Westkapelle and ‘s-Heerenhoek and a day later the riders will leave Schijndel for Buchten. Over the weekend, the towns of Roosendaal and Oosterhout will host the start and finish of the last two stages.

Alexis Gandía (sports director): “We are going to one of the most particular races of the year, because it is a very flat route and it is contested by runners with very specific characteristics. we have a team that he can do it well and we are going with the ambition of competing in the stages and having a good overall. Manuel will be our leader each day for the sprint. Facing the general, the wind will play a determining role. We have a very complete block and, if we work well as a team, any of them will be able to fight for the general”.

At the same time, the young Alejandro Franco will participate in the Peace Race, an appointment of the Nations Cup that takes place in the Czech Republic from Thursday 8 to Sunday 11. The man from Valladolid has been summoned by the Spanish team to compete in a test that he already ran in 2022, achieving a creditable fifth position overall. This prestigious race in the sub-23 category is made up of a brief initial prologue and three mountain stages, highlighting the day on Saturday that ends at the Červenohorské ski resort.
