Resounding defeat of the Spanish against Poland

The Spanish women’s team took a step back in their aspirations to access
the next phase of the European Championship in Bulgaria, after adding his third defeat in the tournament, falling this Monday through a clear 3-0 (25-15, 25-15 and 25-8) against Poland, undefeated selection in the group. The defeat leaves the Spanish team, which will be measured next Wednesday with Germany (16:30), with practically no remote access options to the next round.

The improvement shown against the Hellenas did not serve the Spanish team to stand up to the powerful Polish team, that in a seen and not seen it was located with a lead of 5-1 that no longer stopped growing throughout the first set. Not even the good work of Lucia Varela and Ana Escamilla was enough to contain Poland, who, with the help of a forceful Malwina Smarzek, won the first set by a clear 25-15 in twenty-one minutes of play.

The same result (25-15) for which the second set was resolved, in which Spain continued to be unable to contain Smarzek, who closed the match with 22 points. Shots and more shots that ended up overcoming the resistance of the Spanish team, which could barely resist in the third and final set, which also fell on the side of Poland by a resounding 25-8.
