Recommendation to abolish PCR test condition before arrival in Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY (Reuters) – Kuwait is considering easing restrictions on coronavirus cases following a drop in the number of coronavirus cases.

According to Kuwaiti media, a recommendation has recently been submitted to the Ministerial Karuna Emergency Committee in which it has been proposed to remove the condition of PCR test before the arrival of all passengers arriving in the country.

Sources said that the recommendation also includes imposing a one-week home quarantine on vaccinated persons after entering the country, however, this quarantine can be abolished by undergoing PCR test.

Home quarantine of 7 to 10 days should be imposed on non-vaccinated persons entering the country. A negative PCR test report on the last day of quarantine can remove this quarantine.

He said the proposal would be discussed at the table of the Ministerial Karuna Emergency Committee and would soon be submitted to the Council of Ministers for discussion and approval.

Regarding the cancellation of the condition of receiving a third booster dose during the trip, the sources said that the proposal has also been submitted to the Emergency Committee, however, initial indications confirm that the decision has not been revoked at present. Will be done
