Real Madrid set a price for Rodrygo: safe summer sale?

According to recent reports, Real Madrid have made it clear that they will only consider selling their talented striker Rodrygo for a sum between 100 and 120 million euros. These statements come amid speculation about Liverpool’s possible interest in the Brazilian player as a possible replacement for Mohamed Salah.

Since joining Real Madrid from Santos in 2019, Rodrygo has made a remarkable impression at the club. His meteoric rise has made him a key member of the first team and has been instrumental in winning several major titles. At 23 years old, Rodrygo is firmly anchored in the team and his contract runs until summer 2027.

Rodrygo Goes, in the sights of the Premier League

Although Rodrygo has no intention of leaving Real Madrid, his playing time could be affected next season, especially if Kylian Mbappé joins the club from PSG. With the possible arrival of the France international, the competition for a place in the starting XI will become even fiercer and Rodrygo’s minutes on the field could be reduced.

Liverpool’s interest in Rodrygo intensifies amid uncertainty over Mohamed Salah’s future. With Salah’s contract expiring in 2025 and potential interest from Middle Eastern clubs, Liverpool could face the departure of their Egyptian star in the summer. Given this situation, the Reds see Rodrygo as a potential replacement who can fill the void left by Salah by providing quality on the wings and an additional option in attack.

Although Liverpool have presented an improved offer for Rodrygo, which is around 80 million euros, Real Madrid are sticking to their financial demands and hope to reach an amount between 100 and 120 million euros for the Brazilian international’s transfer.
