Paris Saint Germain is going through decisive days in its season. After being eliminated in the French Cup and losing in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 against Bayern, the Parisian team will face a key duel this weekend in the French League against their escort Olympique de Marseille, in a authentic classic.
For this reason, the club organized an open training session so that its players feel the support of the fans, and the event could not have been better: more than 33,000 fans came to greet their players, including Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappé.
The squad led by Christophe Galtier went out onto the lawn of the Parc des Princes and did a kind of Olympic lap to greet the fans present and then posed for a photo as if it were before a match. The measure also has to do with the fact that Parisian fans will not be able to accompany the team on Sunday, since for security reasons the authorities prohibited the presence of visiting fans at the Velodrome stadium in Marseille.
After the greetings, the players warmed up in small groups, doing different “crazy things” that delighted the fans. Then they did some tactical work and finally they rehearsed definition exercises.
The match against Marseille for the twenty-fifth date of Ligue 1 will be on Sunday, and it is a key match for the definition of the tournament since PSG is the leader with 57 points, five points more than those accumulated by its rival.
