Professional League: Huracán welcomes Banfield and Gimnasia to Defensa y Justicia

Huracán will face Banfield this Monday in search of a new victory that will leave him as one of the leaders of the 2023 Professional League tournament. The match that will close the second date will be played from 9:30 p.m. at the Tomás Adolfo Ducó stadium, with Pablo Echavarría as referee and transmission of TNT Sports. In the preview of the meeting, the club announced that it will hold an exhibition of the new lighting system installed in the “Palace” during the break.

El Globo had a great start to the season as it debuted with a 4-2 victory over Defensa y Justicia in Florencio Varela and on Wednesday advanced to the round of 16 of the Argentine Cup after beating Yupanqui 4-1 in Caseros.

Despite eight goals in two games, the team led by Diego Dabove had no peace since the defender and captain, Lucas Merolla, refused to renew the contract after his lost pass to Boca Juniors and would not be part of the game by decision of the leadership. His replacement would be Gastón Sauro.

Banfield, for its part, could not get past a goalless draw against Unión de Santa Fe, at home, and extended its streak of games without winning to four. In addition, the Drill suffered a new loss since Agustín Urzi, who was the starter on the first date, was transferred to Juárez, from Mexico. The departure of the left-handed midfielder is added to that of Ramiro Enrique, who was sold to Orlando City of the United States MLS.

To rearm the team, which will also not have the expelled Alejandro Cabrera, Javier Sanguinetti plans to make four variants. Eric Remedi would enter for Cabrera, Horacio Tijanovich would debut instead of Urzi and Matías Romero and Andrés Chávez would replace the Uruguayan brothers Nicolás and Sebastián Sosa Sánchez.

They want to add their first points

Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata will receive Defensa y Justicia in a match in which both will seek to score their first points in the 2023 Professional League tournament. The match will be played from 6:00 p.m. at the Juan Carmelo Zerillo stadium in La Bosque, with refereeing by Germán Delfino and broadcast by ESPN Premium. The match was scheduled for 8:00 p.m. but at the request of security it was brought forward two hours.

Sebastián “Chirola” Romero’s team lost 3-1 against Vélez Sarsfield in Liniers and tomorrow they will try to recover at home where they became strong last year despite four games without winning (three defeats) at the close.

Florencio Varela’s team lost to Huracán 4-2 at home but on Wednesday they had a joy in the Forest as they beat Ituzaingó 3-2 and advanced to the round of 16 of the Argentine Cup.

In the homeowner, Romero could make two modifications with the income of Maximiliano Comba and Franco Soldano for Alan Sosa and Rodrigo Castillo, respectively.

Julio Vaccari, for his part, would put on the same team that started the defeat against “Globo” with the returns of Nicolás Tripichio and Julián López who were substitutes for the Copa Argentina. The one who will not be able to be there will be the defender Santiago Ramos Mingo, one of the reinforcements, who was sent off a few minutes after his debut.
