Atlético Tucumán, the leader of the Professional League, missed an unbeatable chance to consolidate at the top of the tournament by losing 3-1 to Arsenal in Sarandí, in an entertaining duel on the twelfth date. Sebastián Lomónaco, Gonzalo Goñi and Alexander Díaz gave Leonardo Madelón’s team a key victory in the fight for permanence, while Matías Orihuela scored during the visit. But when it seemed that the leader regained control of the game, in the second half everything fell apart with Goñi’s goal for another defensive error and the subsequent expulsion of Bruno Bianchi.
The emotional impact was very strong and the visit became a ghost team in relation to what has been seen so far in the championship. On the contrary, Arsenal, with the knife between its teeth, adjusted what was necessary to take three fundamental points. Alexander Díaz’s goal on the hour only gave shape to a victory that was justified with the ticking of the clock.
