The President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, will inaugurate this Saturday at 10:30 in the morning the renovation and equipment of the Ramón Pasián sports center, in San Juan de la Maguana, which is located within the sports city of that province.
The repair and equipment required an investment of 27 million, 502 thousand 419 pesos and 11 cents, but in addition, some nine courts were repaired in different places in San Juan de la Maguana, which entailed the investment of another 4 million pesos, therefore that the remodeling was around 31.8 million pesos.
The courts are located in Bohechío, Vallejuelo, Juanito, Matayaya, among other areas.
The inauguration of the sports center by President Abinader joins the list of other works that the president has delivered in different parts of the country.
In addition, it is included in the renovation and equipment plan for different works in various areas of the country, as well as the construction of new sports structures.
The repair process was carried out by the Ministry of Sports, headed by Francisco Camacho Rivas, and was supervised by the Engineering Department of this government agency.
The sports center is located within the sports city that served as the venue for the National Sports Games held in this province in 1992. The last time it was renovated was in 1996.
The areas that were improved include the completely new board that was installed, as well as new bathrooms, the poles, the boards, the drinking water system.
Work was also done in the electrical area; Both the internal and external lighting of the sports center were installed, as well as all the seats in the stands that occupy the four sides of the facility.
A completely new electric generator was also installed, which works as a plant, so that if the electricity fails, the plant enters automatically.
