President Luis Abinader will lead this Wednesday the inauguration ceremony of the remodeling of Club San Carlos facilities, in the capital, executed by the Ministry of Sports and Recreation (Miderec), and which had an investment of around 12 million pesos, highlighted that portfolio in a document.
The ceremony, which will begin at three in the afternoon, will be led by President Luis Abinader.
The headquarters of one of the most emblematic sports and cultural clubs of the National District and the country, was the subject of a general intervention to restore the shine to these facilities, located in the neighborhood of the same name, thanks to the investment made by the Ministry of Sports.
The Liriza Construction company carried out the total renovation of the club, under the supervision of the Miderec Engineering Department.
The complete renovation of the club is part of about twenty works carried out by Miderec in different parts of the country and whose delivery has been attended by President Abinader.
The work was completely painted in its internal and external structure. In its outdoor area, the garden area was worked and the roof covering was waterproofed.
In its main area, which is the play area, maintenance painting was applied to the metal structure on the roof, repair and painting on railings, repair of the digital screen and clock.
The little floor was also redone. There was replacement of plank wood with some splints, putty of the plank, polishing with a circular machine, superior painting in game areas and natural cleaning in the entire area of ​​the game floor.
Within the intervened areas are included areas that remained with very little use, given their conditions, such as the gym, to which all the access doors, supply and floor placement were changed, as well as the renovation of the bathrooms.
Likewise, work was done on the multipurpose room, the object of a concrete stair repair, installation of a handrail, installation of glass and aluminum doors, removal of the carpet and cleaning of the floor, as well as the placement of a new folder.
The public restrooms for men and women were also intervened, as well as the court dressing rooms, to which a ceiling light was placed, in addition to ceramic polishing and placement of sanitary ware. It also includes general led lighting for greater clarity and lower consumption.
The health area of ​​the San Carlos Club also received attention in its structure. Compressor maintenance was applied.
A granite floor was installed, as well as a plinth of that material with a white background, supply and placement of a 500-gallon water tank, as well as the repair of an air conditioning unit.
