Switzerland, Europe’s wealthiest country in terms of income, is facing the worst situation due to fuel shortage.

The chairman of the country’s electricity commission has warned citizens about the harsh winter months and advised them to be prepared for the worst.

In Switzerland, the coming winter may see dark scenes due to power outages.

In an interview with the New Zurich newspaper, the president of the Swiss Electricity Commission, Werner Logan Bühl, said that citizens stockpiled firewood and candle preparations in view of fuel shortages.

They can definitely recommend having candles in the house and stocking up on enough wood if you have a wood stove, he said.

He said that it is important to be aware of the fact that there will be power cuts in winter because the fuel situation in the country could be worst.
