A plot to assassinate Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has been foiled, according to recent reports.
Last Sunday, Salman Khan received a note from a passerby. This turned out to be a threatening letter saying that Salman Khan and his father would be killed.
There was reportedly a plan to kill Salman before the letter. A sniper is said to have been stationed near his house for several days. These details emerged in the investigation into the murder of rapper Sidhu Moose Wala.
Gangster Lawerence Bishnoi, a suspect in the Sidhu case, is said to have sent a sniper to Salman with a gun hidden in a modified hockey case. This attack failed.
After the actor received the threatening letter, he immediately contacted the police and additional security was deployed.
