Pakistan News: 13 killed in a collision between a bus and a truck in Pakistan’s Punjab. According to rescue officials, the bus collided with a truck carrying sugarcane coming from the opposite direction in Rahim Yar Khan district, about 400 km from Lahore, on Saturday evening. A total of 18 passengers were on the bus. “After the accident, the rescue team along with local people rushed the injured to the hospital, where 13 people were declared brought dead, while the condition of the remaining five injured is said to be critical,” the officials said.

There was rain water on the road

Women were also among the dead. Officials said rain water had accumulated on the road where the accident took place. “After the accident, the bus got buried under a pile of sugarcane and it took a long time for the rescue team to take the injured to the hospital,” the statement said. There is an atmosphere of panic in the area after the incident. The family members of the deceased are in weeping pain.

There was a collision between the bus and the truck. 30 people lost their lives in the accident, while more than 40 people were injured. According to officials, the bus was on its way from Sialkot to Rajanpur when it met with an accident on the Indus highway near Taunsa bypass in Dera Ghazi Khan district. Most of the people on the bus were on their way to their hometowns to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha. The injured were admitted to a nearby hospital.
