Punjab Parliamentary Affairs Minister Basharat Raja introduced a motion in the House demanding action against Prime Minister Sharif under Article 6 (sedition) of the Constitution. Punjab is ruled by former Prime Minister Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party and its ally PMLQ. The passed resolution said that the prime minister held discussions with a fugitive Nawaz Sharif in London a few days ago regarding the appointment of a new army chief, who has been the prime minister of Pakistan three times. According to the resolution, this consultation is a violation of the Prime Minister’s oath not to share sensitive information with unrelated people, but also an insult to an institution like the army.

Shahbaz also met Nawaz Sharif
