These days, any average user has dozens of online accounts, making managing this myriad of passwords a time-consuming and frustrating process. This is for both users and organizations.

At the same time, password-only authentication methods have serious drawbacks.

Among these, we highlight the high administrative costs involved in password changes, the considerable security risks due to weak passwords or by its reuse in multiple accounts.

Because of this, there have been several calls in the tech industry to develop an authentication process that would reduce reliance on passwords or even completely replace them.

When using multiple smart devices, including new devices or other users’ devices that are nearby, they can automatically access your FIDO credentials on the main OPPO device. All without having to repeat the authentication process on other platforms or OS browsers.

As a member of the FIDO Alliance, OPPO is also committed to contributing technically to the different working groups of the alliance. Everything to bring passwordless technology to more contexts and services.

In the digital world, greater flows of information face more security challenges.

Through its “Inspiration Ahead” proposal, OPPO will work with industry partners to create more secure and convenient password-less connection experiences that enable new smart experiences for more users.
