Along with the OnePlus 9RT, the Chinese brand officially presented its new pair of TWS wireless headphones. It’s time to welcome the OnePlus Buds Z2 with some new features that users will appreciate.
The new OnePlus headphones are highlighted by the introduction of the active noise cancellation technology that is so popular in this niche market. It is a very satisfactory addition compared to the original model and without a big jump in its price, which is around the 67 €.
Already in design, the new OnePlus Buds Z2 does not bring great differences from the originals. An elongated shaft persists, as well as its silicone tips for greater comfort during prolonged use.
OnePlus Buds Z2 can reduce up to 40 dB of noise
Without a doubt, the addition of active noise cancellation is the main new feature of the OnePlus Buds Z2. This technology was introduced by the brand in Buds Pro, but now it migrates to the intermediate models of its audio offering.
Thanks to the transition to three microphones in each earbud, the Z2 Buds can reduce up to 40 dB of noise around them. Everything so that the user can enjoy their favorite music without their environment disturbing that moment.
Also, OnePlus Buds Z2 has a transparency mode. This mode will be especially useful when the user wants to be alert to their surroundings without having to remove the headphones from their ear.
The autonomy can reach 38 hours of playback.
A key point of this type of product is its autonomy and here the Z2 Buds have satisfactory figures. In fact, OnePlus says its new headphones could hit 38 hours of playtime on one charge.
These values can be achieved by adding your case’s load to the equation and without active noise cancellation. If we enable this feature, the overall longevity of these headphones is reduced to 27 hours.
It should be noted that each earphone has a autonomy of 7 hours without noise cancellation. With this active technology, these values drop to 5 hours.
When it comes to audio playback, the OnePlus Buds Z2 have 11mm drivers and 100ms latency. They use a Bluetooth 5.2 connection and are waterproof thanks to the IP55 certification.
Finally, it should be noted that the OnePlus Buds Z2 were announced in China for the equivalent of € 67. They will be available in black and white from October 19, however there is no information yet on their international availability.
