OnePlus 11 does not do well in endurance tests

Newer OnePlus phones haven’t fared very well in JerryRigEverything’s durability tests.

The OnePlus 10 Pro broke in half in the YouTuber’s hands during a bend test. The OnePlus 10T suffered the same fate. Now, Nelson is back with a OnePlus 11 endurance test.

It all starts well on the saving throw. The device did very well in the screen scratch test. Gorilla Glass Victus makes it hard to scratch your phone’s screen unless you do it with a knife.

That said, the deeper grooves rendered the screen’s fingerprint sensor entirely unusable. The YouTuber points out that this is not normal, and that fingerprint sensors of this type often survive this type of scratch.

The screen also survives being burned with a lighter and doesn’t show any pixel damage after nearly a minute under the torch.

Where the OnePlus 11 starts to fail is in the bend test. The rear glass panel cracks all over when the flex test starts. On the second bend, the glass on the bottom edge breaks into smithereens.

The rest of the rear window is easily broken with a simple twist. The good news is that the OnePlus 11 didn’t split in half like its predecessors. Even after all that torture, the phone was working.
