The road to PGL Astana 2025 just got a whole lot more interesting. In a nail-biting finish, ODDIK took down Imperial Esports to secure their spot in the upcoming tournament. This marks a major milestone for the CS2 organization – their first-ever Tier S championship qualification.
The journey wasn’t easy. ODDIK and Imperial Esports clashed in the grand final, each having won six games throughout the tourney. To get there, ODK defeated Fluxo, while Imperial took down RED Canids. The best-of-five matchup was a real nail-biter, with both teams trading wins.
The Turning Point
Imperial came out strong, winning the first two maps, Anubis and Dust 2. They were just one win away from securing their spot in the main event. But ODDIK refused to back down. They staged an incredible comeback, taking the fourth and fifth maps in overtime to punch their ticket to Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.
The ODDIK team was ecstatic, taking to Twitter to share the news:
A SUA ODK VAI PARA A PGL ASTANA 2025! ✈️🔥
Depois de uma campanha insana no Closed, muita resiliência e bala cantando, garantimos nossa vaga no Main Event!
Obrigado por todo o apoio e torcida, simplesmente surreal! Seguimos evoluindo e buscando sempre o melhor. ISSO É COUNTER… pic.twitter.com/kIjOjUqgTq

Map Breakdown
The momentum shifted on maps like Train, Inferno, and Nuke. Despite Imperial‘s best efforts – including Santino “try” Rigal’s impressive 100 kills across the five games – ODDIK emerged victorious. This historic win marks their first-ever qualification for a Tier S championship.
