I had the opportunity to test the Oclean X Pro Elite brush for a few days, and here are my impressions.

Project
The Oclean X Pro Elite isn’t just a smart toothbrush, it’s also a cool looking toothbrush. Proof of this is that he received the Good Design Award, one of the four most important design awards in the world along with Red Dot, iF and IDEA.
The main body of the brush has a porous texture, which facilitates grip and contrasts with the plastic softness of the brush head itself.
The brush body doesn’t have the bright white color we usually find on these devices, but rather Oclean opted for a gray color which, in the words of the manufacturer, is derived from the “color of nature’s rocks, which have stood the test of time.”
The brush itself has DuPont diamond bristles that protect enamel and gums, while helping to remove coffee and tobacco stains. On the reverse, the surface of the brush acts as a tongue cleaner.
The most characteristic element of this brush is its portrait Touchscreen, which allows us to scroll through the menus to adjust the type of brushing, control the duration of each brushing session and see information about how we have just brushed our teeth.
The screen only supports vertical scrolling and we must press the physical button below to choose an option.
The brush has IPX7 water resistance, which allows you to wash it under water without the risk of damaging it.
Oclean includes in the box a bracket that can be fixed to the wall to hold the brush vertically using a magnet.
Operation
The Oclean X Pro Elite Toothbrush can work like a conventional electric toothbrush, but it unleashes its full potential if the connect via Bluetooth to your smartphone.
In my case, I paired it with an iPhone and it turned out to be a very simple process. Just install the Oclean app and click add a device and the brush will appear in the app.
During the setup process, the app asks about your date of birth, your dental condition (normal, smoker, braces or malformed teeth), your habits (smoking, drinking tea, drinking wine, drinking coffee or none) and the degree of whiteness of your teeth.
Based on your answers, the app recommends the power and cleaning mode best suited for your teeth.
From the app we can see General information such as the amount of battery remaining, the highest brushing score of the day, the last brushing score, the number of days you use the same brush head, and the brush usage history.
From the application, you can select multiple brushing programs:
- Regular daily standard cleaning schedule
- Medium power whitening

- Sweet drinks in the afternoon

Each program has a duration and offers instructions on how to cleanse ourselves.
If you don’t want to use the app after each brushing, from the brush itself you can also select the brushing mode, power and duration by scrolling through various menus on the touchscreen:
- Mode: Sensitive, Massage, Lighten or Clean
- Power: Power level from 1 to 32
- Duration: 2:00, 2:30 or 3:00
When you press the start button, a countdown starts on the screen that tells us how much time is left in the selected brushing program.
By default, the timer is set to 2 minutes, and every 30 seconds we receive a small vibration to inform us of the zone change.
The brush operation is quite silent, as Oclean has included a motor that emits only a small hum and, as the company explains, it has also integrated noise suppression algorithms.
The brush incorporates a 6 axis gyroscope which allows us to determine how well we clean our teeth.
So when we’re done brushing our teeth, we can access the app to see a summary of how our brushing went:

- How long did the cleaning take?
- Pressure rating during cleaning

The app still shows a schematic image of our mouth where we can see how to clean each of the 8 zones in which they are divided: lower palate side / right, upper palate side / right, lower side of the mejilla izquierda / right and upper side of the mejilla left right.
This image is also seen in a condensed form on the brush canvas itself, so it is necessary to access the application.
The problem is that this information is only displayed for a few seconds and cannot be retrieved later, so it is easy to lose.
Finally, the app also shows the days and minutes of use of the brush head and recommends when you should replace it with a new one.
Drums
The Oclean X Pro Elimite brush has a battery that offers an autonomy of 35 days. In the phone app we can see the remaining battery level so we can charge it before it runs out.
Ocelan incorporates a wireless charging base where we can place our brush to recharge its battery and The entire charging process takes 3 and a half hours.
The most interesting thing is that You can use any wireless charging pad to charge the brush, such as what you use to charge your smartphone.
