Nuria Párrizas is still sweet after surpassing Alize Cornet

The Granada-born Nuria Párrizas continued sweetly to overcome the French Alizé Cornet in the first round of the Adelaide 2 tournament by a double 6-4.

Both tennis players conceded the same number of break balls (10), but it was Párrizas who scored two ‘breaks’ ahead in a match in which they broke serve up to eight times.

His next rival will be known after the conclusion of the match he will face this Tuesday the Russian Luidmila Samsonova (8) with the Egyptian Mayar Sherif.

The 30-year-old Spanish tennis player arrived in the capital of South Australia after playing her first quarter-finals on hard court in WTA competition in which she fell to the Russian Daria Kasatkina on the Margaret Court track in Melbourne Park.
