Starting the conversation, Anil Kumble said: “Having worked with a player like Arshdeep Singh, it’s great to see him grow in what he’s done for India. I would love to see Arshdeep as the next superstar bowler and the opportunities Ishaan Kishan has with the bat are fantastic so I think he can be a superstar.”
Furthering the conversation, former Indian bowler Parthiv Patel said: “Umran Malik is a fast bowler and he is bowling well. He has already played for India. But yeah, I think he can be a superstar. Tilak Verma has been seen in the last two years in terms of hitting. I had the opportunity to meet and support him and he has become something of a cricketer. He also has the ability to captain, so I think he can be the ‘future captain’ as well.”
Significantly, IPL 2023 will start from Friday, March 31. The first match of season 16 will be played between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings. This match will be played in Ahmedabad. In 2022 Gujarat Titans won the title.
