Team India (IND) is currently touring South Africa (SA), where it will play a series of three events starting on December 26. The first game will be played in Centurion, for which the team has arrived there and is in full practice. The South Africa Cricket Board (CSA) has made all safety arrangements in light of the threat from the new Corona variant, Omicron. For this, the African Board is in permanent contact with the BCCI. But before this game, the fans suffered a major setback. Due to Omicron, the South African board has decided to organize the first match without spectators.

According to media reports, Cricket South Africa (CSA) has decided not to sell tickets for the first test match in light of the increase in Omicron cases. The African government had recently allowed 2,000 people to go to the stadium, following Corona’s guidelines. But now the board is making this decision with the safety of the players in mind. However, this decision has yet to be made with respect to the rest of the test matches. New decisions will only be made after assessing the situation.

The first match of the three-match test series between India and South Africa will be played at Centurion starting December 26. The second match will be played in Johannesburg from January 3 and the third and final match will be played in Cape Town from January 11.
