Nicolás Kicker reached the quarterfinals in the Todi tennis challenger

Argentinian Argentine Nicolas Kicker advanced to the quarterfinals of the Todi Tennis Challenger in Italy by beating Kazakh Timofey Skatov 6-4, 6-3.

Kicker, a native of the Buenos Aires city of Merlo and ranked 237th in the ATP world ranking, needed one hour and 46 minutes to beat the Kazakh Skatov (226).

The native of Buenos Aires will be measured in the quarterfinals against the Italian Flavio Cobolii (145), who defeated the Dutch Jelle Sels (242) 6-4, 6-4.

The Todi Challenger has four other Argentines, who will appear on Thursday:

Pedro Cachín (120), first seeded in the tournament, will face Italian Matteo Gigante (307); Thiago Agustín Tirante (194) will play for the round of 16 against the German Daniel Masur (221). Santiago Rodríguez Taverna (176) will face Brazilian Daniel Dutra Da Silva (235); while Juan Bautista Torres (291) will face the Italian Francesco Maestrelli (382).

The Todi Challenger, in the province of Perugia, takes place on clay courts and distributes a total of 45,730 euros in prizes.
