Netflix customers in Germany now have to pay more (the price increase is not unexpected). The price increase affects all Netflix subscriptions except the standard subscription with ads.
Netflix Premium costs 2 euros more
Netflix Premium remains the streaming service’s top offering. It now costs 19.99 euros instead of the previous 17.99 euros. As usual, you get 4K picture quality, 3D sound and can use Netflix on up to four devices at the same time. Netflix content can be downloaded on up to six devices. Of course, you can enjoy the content here ad-free.
Netflix Standard is 1 euro more expensive
Netflix Standard now costs 13.99 euros instead of 12.99 euros. There are no changes to the scope of the standard subscription: Full HD, two devices can receive Netflix at the same time and Netflix content can be downloaded on two devices. There are no advertisements here either
Netflix standard subscription with advertising costs as before
At 4.99 euros per month, the standard subscription with advertising is still the cheapest entry into the world of Netflix. The price remains unchanged. Here too, the streams are available in full HD and reception is possible on two devices at the same time and you can also download Netflix content on two devices. Except that Netflix also shows advertising here.
These are the new prices at a glance:
Netflix no longer offers the previous Basic subscription to new customers for a long time. Existing customers can continue to use it, but now have to pay 9.99 euros instead of the previous 7.99 euros, as Spiegel Online adds.
