The dispute between Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and his neighbor Ketan Kakkar from the Panvel farm does not seem to end. In March 2022, a petition against Kakkar was filed in the civil court on behalf of Salman Khan. This petition was filed by Salman Khan on behalf of his neighbor regarding the serious accusations against him in the video released on social media.
At the time, Salman had demanded that the court order Ketan Kakkar to remove the video and also prevent him from making any further statements. However, Salman’s claim was rejected by the civil court, after which he went to the High Court. The same petition from Salman Khan was heard in the Bombay High Court on Friday. The matter was heard by Judge CV Bhadang. During the hearing, Salman’s lawyer said that Ketan Kakkar’s post not only falls within the realm of defamation, but also incites communities.
During the hearing at the Bombay High Court on Friday, actor Salman Khan was told that the videos of his neighbor Ketan Kakkar, which he has posted against him, are communal, inflammatory and defamatory. Salman Khan’s lawyer, Ravi Kadam, read Ketan Kakkar’s video script in court. He said the videos communally incite the hearing against Salman Khan. He also said that Kakkar has told in the video how Salman Khan, who belongs to a minority community, wants to usurp the Ganesh temple, which is located near his Panvel country house from him.
According to Salman’s lawyer, in the video, Kakkar compared Salman Khan to Babur and Aurangzeb (Mughal ruler). He (Kakkar) said that he has taken a long time of 500 years to build the Ram temple in Ayodhya and Salman Khan wants to close the Ganesh temple in Panvel. The lawyer said that these videos broadcast on social networks by Kakkar have also shown what Salman does in his country house. Not only this, millions of people have watched these videos, after which many people comment against Salman Khan.
Salman’s attorney said it is clear the hearing is being instigated against Salman. The video gives everything a communal color and makes it Hindu-Muslim. The lead lawyer claimed in court that Kakkar had said a lot of things. Kakkar has also alleged that Salman Khan is a member of the underworld gang Don Dawood Ibrahim. Apart from this, there have also been reports of drug dealing and organ trafficking. The court will now hear the matter on August 22.
