NASA DART Mission to Save Earth: According to scientists, now the earth is really going to end. The reason for this is two huge meteorites, which are about to fall on the earth. This will completely shatter the earth. Then no one will be safe on this earth. These huge meteorites made of asteroids have started moving towards the earth long ago. Scientists claim that it is going to fall on the earth soon. Because it is coming very fast towards the earth. Scientists around the world are deeply concerned by this. To save the Earth from these meteorites, today America’s National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) agency is going to conduct an innovative experiment. If this experiment fails, it will be impossible to survive on Earth. This great experiment to save the earth has been named by NASA as Dart Mission.

NASA spacecraft will collide with asteroid

To destroy the earth rapidly, NASA has started work on a mission to make huge meteor bodies coming down from the sky to ashes in the sky itself. So that it can be finished before it reaches the earth. For this, as an experiment, NASA is sending one of its spacecraft to collide with the asteroid. It will hit the steroid at a speed of 24 thousand kilometers per hour. If the asteroid is shattered by this collision, then scientists will find a way to save Earth from meteorites. Otherwise no one will survive on this earth.

According to Indian time, there will be a fierce collision on September 26-27 at around four in the morning.

According to Indian time, this NASA spacecraft will collide with Asteroid at around 4 in the morning on 26-27 September (Tuesday). It will also know whether it is possible to change the direction of asteroids moving towards the Earth or they can be shattered in space itself. If this experiment is successful, it will be a great success for scientists to save life on Earth.

The curtain will rise from many mysteries

The plane that collided with the asteroid was named Dart. It means double steroid redirection test. NASA had launched it in November 2021 itself. Now this spacecraft is about to go on a mission to save the earth. It can be seen on TV at 4 am. For this collision, NASA scientists have discovered another asteroid, similar to the dangerous meteorite coming towards Earth, which has been named Dimorphos. This collision is going to happen at a distance of one crore kilometers from the earth. This asteroid is much closer to Earth than others. After this collision, scientists will be able to understand what can be the way to get rid of two huge meteor bodies coming towards Earth.

The collision will cause a fierce explosion, the sound can be heard till the earth

The collision of NASA’s spacecraft with this asteroid will cause a huge explosion. The heavy roar caused by this can be heard up to the earth. The explosion would be more powerful than it was after the atomic bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. That is, about 15,000 TNT explosions have been feared.

If the route is changed by collision, it will be a big success

According to scientists, if this collision changes the direction of the asteroid at all, then it will be a big success. This means that huge meteor bodies coming towards Earth can be diverted from other similar powerful vehicles. This effect which changes the direction of the asteroid is called the kinetic effect. If this is successful, it will become clear that the path of meteorites can be changed from asteroids.

Why is the earth in danger

Meteorites are the biggest threat to the Earth present in space. who are rapidly approaching the earth. If they fall here, they will destroy the earth. Now under the Dart mission, a NASA spacecraft will hit the meteorite and try to change its direction. With this collision, scientists will find out what will be the effect on the meteorite after the collision in space. The spacecraft will also capture images of the event, which will be released via live stream on NASA’s website. The asteroid will collide with the moon moving with Didymos.

Before this, the spacecraft will study the meteorite. After this the moon will collide with the meteorite. Scientists hope that this may change its direction. If the mission is not successful then more missions can be sent in future. The Didymos meteorite is 2,600 feet in diameter, with a small moon-like stone revolving around it, called Dimorphos, which the spacecraft will collide with. Its diameter is 525 feet. That is, NASA will target a stone like this small moon. Which will later collide with Didymos. Then the changes in the speed of these two will be studied from the telescope on Earth.

Earth can be saved in future

Scientists expect that this will change the direction of the meteorite. If this mission is not successful, then more similar missions will be launched in future. If the mission is successful, it will help scientists save Earth from future meteorite collisions. The spacecraft will move towards the meteorite at a speed of 24 thousand kilometers per hour. This is the first mission that aims to change the direction of a meteorite, whose success will save humans from extinction like dinosaurs. The main target in this is a meteorite named Didymos.

Didymos was discovered two decades ago

NASA’s target is things near the Earth. Which are in space and are located at a comparatively short distance from the Earth. NASA aims to detect meteorites that can harm the Earth. Astronomers discovered Didymos two decades ago. The DART spacecraft collision will be monitored by the Light Italian CubeSat for Imaging Asteroid. So far, NASA has detected more than 8000 near-Earth objects i.e. near Earth.
