Mysterious place in the world where rocks move automatically

In the Death Valley National Park in the US state of California, which is considered to be the hottest place in the world, the rocks move by themselves.

In one of the driest lakes in the world, this happens in the dry bottom of a lake, also known as Race Track Playa. You can also explore the lines formed.

On the dry surface of the race track, lifeless rocks slide automatically, forming a track behind them.

These rocks sometimes weigh more than 200 kilograms and can move more than 15 feet in a minute, often moving several kilometers away from their place.

But the most astonishing thing is that no human has ever seen these rocks move, that is, he has not seen them with his own eyes.

However, he was caught moving in 2014 with the help of time lapse photography and at that time the possible cause of this amazing puzzle came to light.

In 2014, two scientists reported that many times these heavy and large rocks slide into a thin but transparent layer of ice on sunny days, which they called ice show.

Scientist James Norris said on the occasion that we were amazed to see that in a place in the world where there is an average of only 2 inches of rain a year, the rocks slide as they usually do in the Arctic region. ۔

They made the discovery by accident. They were checking the movement of the rocks, but they saw the rocks moving in December when they went to check their time-lapse cameras there.

They saw 60 rocks sliding slowly, these rocks are often lifeless and even when they slide the process continues for a few minutes, due to which most people did not notice it at first.

According to representatives of Death Valley National Park, this mysterious phenomenon occurs in winter when it rains here. He said that after the rains, a thin layer of very slippery ice forms on the race track, while strong winds cause heavy rocks to move on the surface and leave the track behind on the dirt.

He added that if there is not enough rain in the area, the rocks will remain in place for another year and since Death Valley is a very dry place, it is very difficult to catch the rocks in motion.

NASA also clarified the mystery of the site. According to NASA, the bottom of the dry lake is almost an ideal spot and there are a few large boulders.

The statement said that the movement of these rocks is enchanting but now it is not a scientific mystery.

But it is now known that this is due to the formation of a thin layer of ice in winter, and strong winds move heavy rocks on this icy part when the sun melts the ice.
