Murder case: ‘Baba Ram Rahim’ sentenced by court

Panchkula: In the Ranjit Singh murder case in India, the special CBI of Panchkula has pronounced verdict against 5 accused including Baba Ram Rahim.

According to Indian media reports, in the Ranjit Singh murder case, the special CBI of Panchkula sentenced Garmeet Ram Rahim of Dera Sacha Sauda and 4 other accused to life imprisonment.

The court also imposed a fine of Rs 31 lakh on Ram Rahim and Rs 50,000 each on other accused.

It should be noted that the court had recently reserved the verdict in the Ranjit murder case.

It may be recalled that Ranjit Singh, a resident of Karo Chhetra, was shot dead on July 10, 2002.

In the Ranjit murder case, a special CBI court in Haryana on October 8 found Garmeet Ram Rahim, then Dera manager Krishna Lal, Avatar, Jasbir and Subdal guilty.

In a special CBI court, Judge Dr Sushil Kumar Garg found the accused guilty after nearly two and a half hours of debate.

Earlier, Garmat Ram Rahim was sentenced to 20 years in prison for sexually abusing sadhus. He is also serving a life sentence in the Chhatrapati murder case.

It may be recalled that Ranjit Singh, a member of the management committee of Dera Sacha Sauda, ​​was assassinated on July 10, 2002, when he returned to his farm near GT Road, a short distance from his home, with a cup of tea. Were going home

The killers parked their vehicle on GT Road and opened fire on Ranjit Singh. The accused had fled.

Among the killers were Punjab Police Commando Sub Dal Singh, Avtar Singh, Andersen and Krishna Lal. It was also learned that after the assassination of Ranjit Singh, the assassins had gone to the camp and deposited the used weapons.
